Ushuru FC tightened their grip atop the National Super League (NSL) with a classic 3-0 win over Kangemi All Stars Monday at Nairobi’s Camp Toyoyo grounds.
The taxmen were unwilling to relinquish their lead of the second tier league, and declared an onslaught on All Stars back line which had masterminded a 2-1 win over Nairobi City Stars last time out.

Ushuru sit firm at the top with 41 points with Kangemi All Stars rooted bottom of the 20-member league with a reward of eight points from 18 matches.
In a later match at the same venue, heavyweights Wazito FC suffered a second consecutive defeat after they were outclassed 3-1 by relentless FC Talanta stretching their winless run to three games.
Mohammed D’ Mchulla’s men who were on the back of a 1-0 loss against unbeaten Nairobi Stima, headed for the break crashing courtesy of a Samuel Karuri 39th minute tap in into an empty net.
Second half quick fire strikes from Abdulwahab Adamand and a brace from Samuel Karuri saw Abdallah Juma’s men swagger into a coveted 3-0 lead.
Kennedy Ayacko got onto the score sheet for the hosts, five minutes to time, in what turned out to be a mere consolation.

The final face off of the day was staged at Karuturi grounds in Naivasha, where hosts Kenya Police tamed Modern Coast Rangers 2-1 ascending to eighth on rank with 28 points, Rangers’ 21 point overhaul from 18 rounds leading them the 13th position.
