Monday April 8, 2019-Deputy President William Ruto has gone silent on the Huduma Namba registration that is being spearheaded by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition Leader Raila Odinga.
Nearly a week after the mass registration of citizens was launched by Uhuru and Raila, Ruto is yet to register and has remained quiet on the exercise; something that has caused a lot of concerns among Kenyans.
Last week the Deputy President was expected to launch the exercise in Kakamega – simultaneously with national leaders, but he skipped the function, saying he had other State engagement at his Karen residence.
Uhuru registered for Huduma Namba at a public ceremony in Machakos while ODM Leader Raila Odinga and Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka were registered in Mombasa and Murang’a respectively.
ANC Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula also participated in publicized registration drives aimed at creating public awareness.
