Thursday June 6, 2019-Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko on Wednesday night revealed how five armed goons sent by the so-called ‘The System’ invaded his home at night just before Madaraka Day with an intention of killing him in cold blood.
Sonko revealed this on Facebook Live video after his interview on Citizen TV was unexpectedly terminated.
“At around midnight on 30th of June, five armed goons came and climbed over the wall with machetes. When we realized they were in the compound, we had to shoot in the air to disperse them. Some jumped over the wall but one fell down. We asked them what they were looking for while armed with weapons, then he told us that he had been sent,” Sonko stated.
The suspect was arrested and later on identified as Nicholas Mulwa Lisia.
“He was arrested and taken to Capitol Hill Police station. He is called Nicholas Mulwa Lisia. 31st of May, a day to Madaraka, he was arraigned in court. He is still in custody,” he said while displaying the charge sheet.
According to him, the incident was related with what transpired on Madaraka Day which culminated in Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris walking out of him.
Sonko believes an organization which he referred to as ‘The System’ is after him and wants him dead and gone.
