Security analyst Mwenda Muthuri Mbijiwe was on Friday arraigned at Milimani Law Courts and charged with obtaining money by false pretences.
According to court documents, on March 28, 2019 at unknown place within Nairobi County, Mbijiwe is alleged to have obtained Ksh.150,000 fraudulently.
He reportedly received the money from Fadhili Abdi Mohamed by pretending that he was in a position to secure employment for his sister Shamso Abdirahman at the United Nations.
Mbijiwe who appeared before magistrate Martha Mutuku pleaded not guilty to the charges on Friday.
He was released on Ksh.50,000 cash bail.
