Friday July 5, 2019 – Centum Investments Director, Christopher John Kirubi, has revealed that he was sicker than Bob Collymore the last time he came to visit him at his home in Nairobi.
Speaking to journalists outside the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi during the requiem mass of the departed Safaricom boss, Bob Collymore, Kirubi said that he is just lucky that he is still alive despite suffering from cancer just like Bob.
He eulogized Bob as a man who transformed the telecommunications giant.
“Much better but sad, yeah because the last time I was with Bob, he came to see me at my house, I was sicker than him.”
“And now to find that we are losing him and this is the kind of event that we are having is even sad occasion,” Kirubi said.
“But we must not forget Bob’s principles, what he did to develop a company that was second to none,” he added.
Collymore died of Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Monday.
