Four Ugandan police officers are being held at the Busia police station after they were arrested for allegedly entering the country illegally while armed.
Reports indicate that the officers had been trailing a lorry believed to be carrying used car batteries from Uganda.
The lorry is said to have used the Alupe route.
Citizen Digital has learnt that officers from the Uganda police force as well as those from the Kenya Police led by Commisioner Jacob Narengo are in a meeting to resolve the issue .
The officers were arrested at a roadblock in Busia County on Friday night around midnight.
They were in a vehicle with Registration No. UP 5615.
