Wadadia needed two first half goals to edge dull Spedag 2-0 to earn their second win of the weekend at the Mumias Sports Complex.
Prolific Ruth Chebungei bagged a first half brace to ensure that the home team grabbed maximum points.
The first quarter of the game that was mainly concentrated in midfield but coupled with a dozen of misplaced passes and lack of precision, both sides not showing the thirst to net an opener and set the pace for the game.
Even so, Chebungei appeased the home fans just six minutes to the break striking home a low drive past Spedag goalie Grace Kamenjo after being played through with a long pass from the left flank.
Chebungei completed her brace on 45 minutes with a tap-in, a fine finish from close range after Miriam Kurgat found her with a delightful cross from the right flank .
The two goal deficit from the first half didn’t do much to inspire a fight back from Spedag, Marion Abiona and goal scorer Chebungei giving the Spedag back-line a difficult task of preventing further damage from the wounded side.
In the 77 minute, Wadadia were it again, Miriam Kurgat at the cenre of it all with run of play on the left wing, a lone defender and a worried goalie standing between her and a third goal but was beaten with a sliding tackle.
Spedag were out to perhaps get a consoling goal in the dying minutes of the game to reward their busy day at work but none of their efforts bore fruit.
